Some key accomplishments and partnerships are as follows:
CMF helped the statewide mentor programs match over 500,000 mentor’s with mentee’s
CMF worked with coalitions across California to grow resources and insure mentoring programs met quality assurance standards
CMF supported the growth of quality assured mentoring programs /li>
CMF built a web site one-stop shop li>
CMF created partnerships with sports centers, volunteer programs and after-school tutoring programs
CMF conducted four of the largest surveys ever done on the benefits of Mentoring We provided over one million dollars in grants over the past decade, developed the Evelyn Freed Mentor Center , Passport2Menotoring and the Lifeplan Tool Kit , to support mentors, coaches and parents in the process of positive youth development with their children.
CMF advocated for $30 million per year and over $100 million to date in grant funding provided by the state
CMF supported Sen. Alpert’s Special Joint National Legislative Hearings on mentoring (April 1999 , May 2000, October 2001)
CMF secured $50,000 in grant funds from the National Mentoring Partnership to convey to five after school mentoring programs in California
CMF sponsored Senate Bill 596 by Senator DeDe Alpert to put the California Mentor Initiative into law
CMF started the creation of an electronic scorecard (sophisticated data collection system) with technology partner Triadigm .
CMF convened the Second, Third, and Fourth Annual Mentor Summits sponsored in part by Disneyland .
CMF received more than one million dollars in personnel support from Accenture .
CMF helped five California mentor programs secure $50,000 in National Mentoring Partnership’s grant funds .
CMF secured a half-million dollars of product support from Microsoft to assist in documenting the improvement in young people's life from having a mentor .
CMF, with support from Accenture, provided twenty-two computers to QA approved programs in California .
CMF developed a strategic communications plan with NCG Porter Novelli, to brand the benefits of mentoring. Total contribution by NCG Porter Novelli: $100,000.
